Ben Affleck and Matt Damon up for new TV serie 'Incorporated' on Syfy

 

The dynamic Good Will Hunting duo of Ben Affleck and Matt Damon are once again teaming up: Affleck and Damon’s Pearl Street Films is developing Incorporated for Syfy along with CBS Television Studios, Syfy announced.

The “espionage thriller,” which is set to be written by David and Alex Pastor, takes place in a futuristic world where corporations appear to have limitless power. Per a press release, Incorporated “will be the story of one man’s efforts to beat the system.” Affleck and Damon will executive produce with Jennifer Todd and Ted Humphrey, who will also serve as showrunner.

Benjamin Géza Affleck-Boldt (born August 15, 1972), better known as Ben Affleck, is an American actor, film director, screenwriter, producer and activist. He has received two Academy Awards, for writing and producing, and three Golden Globe Awards for his work as a director, writer, and producer.

Affleck began his career as a child actor, starring in the PBS educational series The Voyage of the Mimi (1984, 1988). He later appeared in Dazed and Confused (1993) and various Kevin Smith films including Chasing Amy (1997) and Dogma (1999). Affleck gained fame when he and childhood friend Matt Damon won the Academy Award and Golden Globe Award for Best Original Screenplay for Good Will Hunting (1997). He then starred in high-profile films including Armageddon (1998), Shakespeare in Love(1998), Pearl Harbor (2001), Changing Lanes (2002) and The Sum of All Fears (2002). After a career downturn, during which he appeared in films including Daredevil (2003), Affleck received a Golden Globe nomination for his performance in Hollywoodland (2006). His directorial debut, Gone Baby Gone, which he also wrote, was critically acclaimed in 2007. He then directed, wrote and starred inThe Town (2010), which was both a critical and commercial success. For Argo (2012), which he directed and starred in, Affleck won the Golden Globe Award and BAFTA Award for Best Director, and the Academy Award, Golden Globe Award and BAFTA Award for Best Picture. He starred in the thriller Gone Girl (2014). In 2016, Affleck will portray Batman in Batman v Superman, and will direct, write and star in Live by Night.

Affleck is the co-founder of the Eastern Congo Initiative, a grantmaking and advocacy-based nonprofit organization. He is also an outspoken member of the Democratic Party. His younger brother is actor Casey Affleck, with whom he has worked on several films including Good Will Hunting and Gone Baby Gone. Following high-profile relationships with Gwyneth Paltrow and Jennifer Lopez, Affleck married actress Jennifer Garner in 2005. The couple has three children.

His career was launched with the success of his and Ben Affleck‘s award-winning screenplay, Good Will Hunting(1997), for which he also received a number of Best Actor nominations. Growing steadily in popularity since then, he is now amongForbes magazine’s most bankable stars and one of the top-40 highest-grossing actors of all time.[4][nb 1] In addition to the many awards and nominations Damon has received, such as Academy, Golden Globe and other industry awards, for his work in the film industry—in 2007, Damon received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and was named Sexiest Man Alive by People magazine.

Damon has become known for his versatility, starring in commercially and critcally successful films such as the action figure in theBourne series, the youthful thief Linus Caldwell in the Ocean’s Trilogy, the anti-hero in The Talented Mr. Ripley (1999), a fallen angel in Dogma (1999), a helpless private in Saving Private Ryan (1998), and a conjoined twin in Stuck on You (2003). Damon has also performed voice-over work and established several production companies. Damon has been actively involved in charitable work, including the ONE Campaign, H2O Africa Foundation, Feeding America, and Water.org. With his wife, Luciana Bozán Barroso, Damon has three daughters and a stepdaughter from Barroso’s prior marriage.
