According to Rolling Stone, 808 will feature an interview with Ikutaro Kakehashi, the founder of Roland, who will explain why the company stopped making the drum machine in 1983. Earlier this year, Roland unveiled plans to release a new version of the 808, a hybrid with its successor, the TR-909.
