Sweden Get´s New Music Festival Inspired By Woodstock

 

Goodwill Festival held for the first time on 24-26 July at the Gålö outside Stockholm. The organizers want to re-direct the thoughts toward love, compassion and sustainability, and doing it with the help of electronic music, art, yoga and meditation.

Inspiration is taken from the classic Woodstock from newer festivals like Boom in Portugal and Burning Man in the United States.

– We want to create a place where people with similar visions can gather, dance, have fun, inspire and create. Our hope is that after the festival will bring new insights and positive energy that one can use in their everyday lives, says organizer Anthony Drone in a press release.

The festival center will be two large dance floors with electronic dance music which, according to the organizers, some of the country’s most successful artists and disc jockeys playing. Besides the music, there will be areas for relaxation, yoga and meditation classes, art exhibitions, theater performances, markets and more. Moreover, the sea and the beach near where visitors can sunbathe, take a swim or watch the sunrise.
