Listen to the new collab track of Jean-Michel Jarre and M83 – “Glory”
“Glory” is a collaboration between two French electronic music legends, past and present: Jean-Michel Jarre (who emerged in the 1970s) and M83 (who’s been an Under the Radar favorite for the last decade). The song sounds as beautiful and soaring as you’d expect it to, coming from Jarre and M83’s Anthony Gonzalez. You can hear it below via Spotify.
The song will feature on a forthcoming, as-yet-untitled, new album from Jarre, which will also feature collaborations with Gesaffelstein (“Conquistador”), Tangerine Dream (“Zero Gravity,” recorded prior to the passing of Edgar Froese), and 3D of Massive Attack (“Watching You”). Snippets of all three songs can be found onJarre’s Soundcloud and the full songs will be released on June 19 via very limited edition vinyl EPs (only 100 copies each via The Vinyl Factory).
In June 2013, Jarre was elected as president of the Confédération Internationale des Sociétés d´Auteurs et Compositeurs (CISAC)
In April 2015, Jarre released a collaboration with Gesaffelstein entitled Conquistador, believed to be a track from his new studio album expected to be released later in the year. Another piece from this new album, Glory, in collaboration with M83, was released as part of the soundtrack of a short film called EMIC
