New Album From Deerhunter On The Way + New Video!

Deerhunter return with their seventh studio album.

Fading Frontier , due for release on October 16 via 4AD, features guest appearances from members of Broadcast and Stereolab plus Zumi Rosow on lead track ‘Snakeskin’. The album is the band’s first since 2013’sMonomania. Frontman Bradford Cox revealed the news during his two-hour radio show on Atlanta’s 1690 AM radio station.

Deerhunter is an American four-piece indie rock group originating from Atlanta, Georgia. The band, consisting of Bradford Cox, Moses Archuleta, Frankie Broyles, Josh McKay and Lockett Pundt, have described themselves as “ambient punk,” though they incorporate a wide range of genres, including noise rock, garage rock,[1] art rock, shoegaze, and post-punk, as well as significantpop elements. The band has gone through several line-up changes and the death of a member.

On August 16, 2015, Deerhunter released a video for a new song titled “Snakeskin,” and announced that their new album, Fading Frontier, is to be released on October 16, 2015 on the 4AD label. The song featured alto saxophonist Zumi Rosow and the video was directed by Valentina Tapia.
